There are thousands of platforms out there for finding a partner, but very little for getting over one.
Itera is a mobile platform designed to help people through the tumultuous feelings of heartache and loss.
Problem
Heartbreak shares all the hallmarks of traditional loss and grief. Why aren't there enough accessible, healthy, or effective tools to help us heal?

Our goal is to help provide a roadmap to understanding these feelings and help others cope in an effective healthy manner.

Common emotional stages
How can we help?
We know not all relationships work out. So how can we help people who have just ended a relationship deal with their feelings of loneliness in a healthy manner?
MOBILE SCREENS IN DEPTH
A roadmap to restoration
More than anything, the broken hearted need designated time to recover. Itera provides a roadmap to recovery with an organized home page and dashboard that highlights where you are in the 30 day recommended program.
Therapy exercise reimagined
Those experiencing heart break need to work through interpersonal conflict, and gain insight into their feelings. This approach is an interpretation of the Gestalt therapy method called the empty chair technique. Its designed to engage in a role-play conversation with the person you're no longer in a romantic relationship with, allowing a space for release and closure.
Plant care = self care
Studies show that taking care of something else, helps people take care of themselves. Itera users can pick and customize a digital plant that serves as a representation of their progress. It grows as they complete their tasks and serves as motivation for self-care.
SUCCESS METRICS
Download vs. Completion
Number of downloads vs number of people completing the 30 day recommended period.
Returning Accounts
Track number of returning accounts to see the rate of retention.
IMPROVEMENTS AND REFLECTIONS
Integration with current apps
This platform might be more useful if integrated as an extension with dating apps that people currently use.
Exploring other cultures
Most our research was taken from western notions of relationship dissolution, if I had more time I'd like to explore a wider range of perspectives.
